Bossard started her commercial seafood career in 1999 when she was hired on board the vessel F/V Sunset. The 65' schooner converted to an ice-fish tender was operated by Murat Aritan. He has been a commercial fisherman since 1993. Bossard married Aritan in 1999, and the couple have teamed up to fight for their business. Both of them are favor of conserving resources and maximizing profits. In 2007, the mother of two young children Bella aged 3 as well as Andre 1 Bossard and then relocating back to live in Philadelphia established a direct market wholesale seafood distributor named Otolith.
